I purchased a "Shorty" fender from GP Composites. It came primered and sanded. No holes were drilled in it to keep its application as flexible as possible.

The holes were drilled for the fender struts and the gromet for the wire harness pass-through. The fender is designed to use the original fender rails. I did not know this originally and I made my own rails. Not a big deal because this allows me to swap the fenders back and forth without needing to remove the fender rails. This was particularly useful when I painted the bike and I wanted to continue riding. |

This is the fender bracket for attaching the Fender struts. I later welded a 6mm screw to hold the rear portion of the seat on. |

The half moon tail/brake light is from Custom Dynamics. It shows up pretty good. |

Originally, I painted the fender with Color-rite Illusion Red to match the rest of the original stock color. I used a non-catylized clear (rattle-can). For the most part, everything looked fine except the finish was not very durable. |

The one thing that I will be addressing is the fact that during wet weather, the wheel splash makes it on my back due to the shortness of the fender. I plan to fabricate a plate that is under the tail light, is horizontal and extends out about 4 additional inches. |
